eloise: you are wild. you are loving. You are pushing limits, you are asserting your independence. You are smart and witty like your father and creative, imaginative and emotional, like your mother. These are the tough days and the incredibly wonderful days.

eloise: You have been a busy girl this week. You are so close to walking.  You’ve taken several steps here and there and walk along side the walls and around the dining room table, holding on with one hand. You are so close! You also are enjoying playing with your toys for longer periods of time on your own. This picture was of you zooming your cars around the dining room. I captured your sweet smile as you picked up your car to show me. This was also the first time I got pig tails in your hair. My, you are growing up so fast!

yum

eloise: You are ruff and tumble. You are queen of the playground slides. You are hands in everything. Explorer of all textures and sensory experiences. You are strong-willed and eager. You are pretend laughter and animal noise imitator. You are wisps of blond. You are cuddle monkey. You are lover of books and horses and dogs and bananas and Chipotle carnitas and “milky milk”. Wagon rider and champion wrap nurser. You are Ellie Mungojerr, twelve months old, my sunshine, my monkey, my love.

boo w car

eloise: there were four other pictures I could have posted for today’s portrait. But the whole of this shot just tickled me. Your little grin, that twinkle in your eye, the way you sit with your little foot crossed over the other. You have so much personality for an 11 month old, I can’t get over it some days.

eloise: it’s neat to watch you with bigger kids. You got to play with your cousins (my very young, first cousins) and I loved watching the engaged, interested way you interacted with them. And again at the park with a little girl this week; you were rolling your ball to her and following her around on all fours. It’s a whole new realm now, you are growing into a social little girl and I can already see you want to get out into the world, meet people and play away!

My favorites from last week : I loved this magical shot. This sweet girl and her freckles. And what a cute snail!

lovely eyes

Eloise: You are a drooly mess these days but no teeth. No little buds, no nothing… except for drool. Lot’s of drool and lots of nursing. I’m keeping the teethers stocked!

I can’t believe we are already into week 10 with this project. I am learning a lot about my camera. Enjoying taking it everywhere with me and capturing the little moments in my family’s lives.

I loved baby Cecily this week and her adorable outfit. This take on the project was simply lovely. And Loved the colors in this shot.
