Merry Christmas! Hoping you and yours had a lovely couple days. We made it safe and sound at Nana and Papa’s and Christmas was delightful and lovely as well. Lots of good food, family, an annual beer swap (and family peg dolls), chasing chickens around (my SIL’s) and lots and lots of presents and toys!! It’s been a very fun trip so far.

This weekend was slow and steady. Not too many plans. I wasn’t feeling all that well, so we tried to take it easy. Lots of good Christmas books, crafting, watching some harbor fireworks from our bedroom window, some late night Christmas movies and a walk through a new favorite park to get some fresh air (where we found mushrooms and rocks and swung on swings, met a horse named Charlie and walked along a fallen pine tree that smelled like Christmas).

eloise: this shot is a bit blurry, but it captured those wet curls right out of the tub and you were very busy walking along a box like it was your balance beam, standing tall like a queen. This photo, caught a bit of the magic of the season and a bit of the magic, that is you, my Eloise.
