Another weekend closer to Christmas. Eek. There never seems to be enough time to get everything done. Our tree is drying out quickly and for the first time, I’m not sure it’s going to make it for Christmas. I still haven’t finished my advent calendar and our Christmas cards have not gotten here for me to send out to all of you. We are behind folks. But, I did manage to squeeze in a bit of baking, reading (singing) 12 Days of Christmas about 200 times, a pre nap time walk downtown and a lovely Mom’s Night (late afternoon) Out. How was your weekend?

This sounds about how it is in our house. The pictures for the cards we were going to make have not arrived. I haven’t written a small note for our cards. We do not have all of our gift buying done. But there’s been lots of Christmas music and singing and lights and good cheer.
You do what you can, right? xo.
yes we certainly do what we can, don’t we Tracy! And yes, you are right… there has been lots of music and dancing and holiday cheer being had even without cards and nice trees and advent calendars. 🙂
Hi just saw your link over at Amanda’s. Lovely photos. We haven’t even got the tree yet. You are well ahead. I’ve sure that everything will just slip into place in the nick of time.

Thank you Deb! And thank you for visiting my space. 🙂 I think buying a tree now would have been the wiser thing to do. Oh well. Next year. 🙂 Happy Holidays to you and yours!
you seem to live someplace warm too. i am wondering about our tree as well.enjoy your week. ❤
we are in California and these past few days have been Very warm! Hoping your tree makes it too! Happy Holidays!
I agree with Tracy. You do what you can. I’m learning to make it a joy for our little bunch here, and not worry about everyone else and their plans (both for me, and within their own families) and it’s much more peaceful.
Yes… I do need to just let go of some things and enjoy the season. I’m glad you’ve found the balance for your family. 🙂 Happy holidays and thank you for visiting my space! Happy to have you here!
Don’t forget you have to water the tree. 🙂
Ha! 🙂
Just do what you can. I pick the things that mean the most to us – no cards this year but we’ve decorated and had mulled cider and sang carols. I think that’s a win!
mulled cider! How fun! Jeff is wanting to brew some this year. I think cider and carols are definitely a win! 🙂
It will all get done and if it doesn’t, no worries, it will still be a wonderful holiday…promise 🙂
Oh I know it will be lovely. I need to just let go of some things is all and letting go can be tough for me. 🙂 Thank you Kim! Happy Holidays to you and your family!
you are watering the tree, right?
if it makes you feel better, I am not even doing christmas cards this year.
i’m so behind on all things Christmas.
XO
Whatever you get done, just enjoy!
We are sending out New Years cards this year! 😉
