Weekending!

Jeff and Ellie were under the weather this weekend so we stayed close to home and rested most of the time (they rested, Mama cleaned and organized).

Ellie has been really into watching Jeff and I do our morning routines in the kitchen. She always wants sips of my tea or coffee. Instead of telling her “no” once again, I decided to make her a quick little felt tea bag of her own to pretend with. She seemed to like the idea and the tea bag came out rather nicely for a quick hand sew.

give thanksI worked on new decorations for the holidays with a cup of freshly brewed coffee (Jeff and I are generally tea drinkers but we thought we’d try fresh brewed coffee this week).

  1. i usually drink coffee first thing in the morning, the kids drink tea and now the almost 2yo says, “tea! tea!” so each morning we put a bit of herbal tea in her cup and let it cool off and she sips it like she’s fancy šŸ™‚ like your felt tea bag idea!

  2. i give wen some rooibos tea or even white tea (with almost no teine), i dont think it’s bad for them… and also some licorice tea. those tea bags of ellie are so cute!!!

    • We occasionally would let Ellie sip some chamomile tea too. She only likes water and Mama’s milk so far though. šŸ™‚ I love licorice though! I will have to find me some licorice tea!

  3. I love how handmade your home always looks.
I am a coffee drinker. I find tea gets cold faster and I can’t get the kick I need with tea alone. I’ve tried matcha and it still wasn’t strong enough. I limited it to 1 a week when I was nursing Aerilaya but with Makaia it’s 1 or 2 a day.
    Adorable handmade tea bag!
