The glory of spring is upon us! We’ve been out and about enjoying one of the most beautiful spring’s I can remember here in California. Hikes to find wildflowers with friends, having picnics by the ocean and watching the pelicans fly above us, and celebrating my Mom’s birthday by heading up north to find sand dollars on a special, hidden beach. We’ve been in and out of creek beds, finding frogs and tiny toads… spotting bluebirds and heron and egrets. It’s been a beautiful spring so far. I so hope the breezy weather and green hills stick around for awhile. We’re loving it so very much!

Weekending!
What a beautiful weekend we had! The weather was glorious! A perfect way to welcome March. So spring like, I had to switch out our play and nature tables. They just couldn’t go another day being “winter”. I know pretty much everywhere else its white and snowy and cold, but it’s been very springy here and our tables needed to reflect that. Anyway, I came down with a little head cold, so between “required” resting (which I hate to do) and little outings here and there, it was still such a nice weekend. Yesterday’s beach walk was quite spectacular. The sky was amazing and the sea was a color blue I had never seen before. We searched for sea glass, skipped stones, and enjoyed the weather. Happy Week to everyone!
Weekending!
We started out the weekend with a bit of spring cleaning and then off to the farmers market (it’s become our Saturday ritual once again, which we like).
Eating fresh strawberry’s.
Listening to local fiddlers.
And then off to Gramma and Grandpa’s house where we ran Gramma ragged climbing trees and chasing Ellie around.
Sunday morning I spent with a good Mama friend, making crafts for the kids (A Mama crafting morning). Ellie seems to be enjoying her color matching game. (Thank you Heather for all the hard work you put into these and for the lovely morning!)
Then we spent the afternoon down by the Marina with Gramma and Grandpa, flying kites, drinking afternoon coffee and tasting a bit of ice cream.
How was your weekend?

Weekending!
This weekend we had Jeff’s sister and her husband come visit from Philly.
A nice evening at the local brewery with the whole family.
Then they were off the next day for a brewery tour up the coast while Ellie and I stayed behind and visited with my parents.
I got lots of crafting finished while Ellie played with Gramma and Grandpa (more about the crafting later).
Sunday, a bbq with both families. Lots of good food and good company.
A very quick weekend and a very quick visit with Auntie Merri and Uncle Bill!

Happy Spring!
Happy Spring! (Sorry I’m posting this so late. My mom’s birthday yesterday and my Mother-in-law’s today, plus a seven month old baby makes blogging regularly sometimes difficult. But better late than never). I thought I would start a new season with a list. A list of things I’d like to get done, accomplish, work on etc. I was inspired by this lady who does it on a monthly basis, but I didn’t want to put that kind of pressure on myself. These days we go with the flow and try not to get discouraged if things in life get to crazy or messy. But, lists are always good to help one get on track and help in creating routine and rhythm, so I thought I would start today. The first day of spring. How about you? What’s on your spring list?
Bits of Spring
Spring is in the air. I can feel it. There are buds on the trees, daffodils blooming, my winter garden is suddenly getting heavier with produce and those peas have begun to sprout. I’m smelling the lush, sweet scent of jasmine everywhere and I’m getting the urge to clean, organize and dress areas of my home up in lighter colors.
